What changes when AI becomes part of the product surface
Once model behavior is visible to users, it becomes part of the product contract. That changes how support, UX, analytics, and release confidence need to work.
Users do not separate "the AI part" from "the app." If the answer is confusing, too slow, or inconsistent, the product feels broken regardless of how good the model is in isolation.
Product consequences
- UX needs to explain what the system can and cannot do.
- Support teams need examples of failure modes before launch.
- Engineering teams need a tighter loop between prompts, telemetry, and product feedback.
That is why AI delivery should be treated as product engineering, not just model integration.
